Rady Children’s Hospital, Murrieta – Giant Wall Mural

Goal

Rady Children’s was opening a new facility in Murrieta.   Their Human resources department had a great idea to take departmental “passions statements” submitted by individual employees and incorporate them into a sky background with hot air balloons, commonly seen in the Murrieta skies.   The concept was sent to us, but was “not ready for prime time” – meaning not printable at 8’x35’.

Solution

Since this was to be an important piece, with close viewing, we suggested they let our mural design team take the concept and create a new version.

Here’s where our years of mural design experience really shows.  With final input from the space designer, The Barrie Company, Rady Facilities and Real Estate departments here’s what our team produced:

Result

The idea was to bring employee engagement, color and local presence to an otherwise plain 35’ hallway. By working closely with the team at Rady Chidren’s Hospital, we were able to adjust their design to a high-resolution image that would print beautifully while maintaining key aspects of the original concept. Using vector graphics rather than raster images vastly reduced the overall size of the file making printing easier and faster while providing a far superior print quality.
